| Due to the closure of the Hateley Heath WMC the Vanrobaeys
Gold Ring Race and the Rhonfried International Futurity
sales are using the Tipton Sports Academy Social as the
venue for future races and sales, first sale is on March
11th some excellent pigeons have been purchased at the Rhonfried
sales over the years that have left their mark of many of
the West Midlands lofts |

| Charity Yb Sale |
| Still with Tipton Sports academy Don Hall has once again
organised a Squeaker sale on behalf of the Whitehouse cancer
research respite home, Don has been donated some superbly
well bred Yb’s from many of the areas very best lofts
to be auctioned on Monday 10th March also football items Man
utd, Liverpool, WBA and Wolves items to be auctioned full
details to be advertised shortly |
| Another sale being planned this time in favour of West Brom
fancier Gary Whitehouse whose family have arranged a YB SALE
AT Tipton Sports on Sunday 16th March Cody Whitehouse is busy
compiling the list that again will be advertised. |

| The club recently had their AGM and prize presentation at
the clubs HQ the Horse and Jockey in Wednesbury a good attendance
saw the officials jobs quickly filled Sally Wardle who did
a great job since taking over the clubs reins last Yb season
has taken on the job, Mark Evans is president and Fred Cooper
has gain taken on the job of Clock setter, the agm didn’t
take long to conduct. Girl singers Jodie and Stacy did a great
job of entertaining a super night was enjoyed, the clubs convoyer
Mr Paul Hammond who did a splendid job last year was called
up to present the prizes to the following successful fanciers. |

was Mr Wally Mellor with 3 x 1st, 3 x 2nd, 3 x 3rd, 3 x 4th.
3 x 5th 2 x 6th and £369 Wally also won the Roland Berry
memorial trophy for winning the old bird averages, premier
prize winner for 207 season was Arthur Snow Arthur supported
the club during every race of the season and his winnings
of 3 x 1st, 2 x 2nd, 6 x 3rd 1 x 4th, 3 x 3rd, 3 x 6th won
a total of £392 and the Trophy’s for Yb ave winning
the H Barlow Trophy the combine ave to win the H W Heeley
Trophy also runner up for the old bird averages after the
prize presentation Bouquets were presented to Sally Wardle
who took over the running of the club and is the new sec,
to Mrs Palmer for all the effort given to the club over the
years. Also to Lynn at the Jockey the clubs HQ hostess and
finally to Paul Hammond who presented the prizes. The club
received applications from 13 new members and more are coming
in so the club is still in good shape. Next meeting is on
Wednesday 6th March at the Jockey at 8.00pm those who haven’t
yet paid subs please do so as there is no desire for things
to drag on as they have in the past, the race programme will
also be voted on at this meeting so an appeal to all members
please attend. |

| Has received applications from and voted in ten new members
with three more applying at the last meeting the club are
organising The Super Club Challenge and are inviting all fanciers
of the West Midlands and Western Region to join this one off
race for Yb’s to be flown from Lessay at the end of
September there is £1000 guaranteed 1st prize to enter
you must purchase a ticket this will enable six birds to be
entered in the race, tickets are £50 each only one ring
number must be forwarded before May Day this Yb to fly for
the nom prize of £1000 as well, so two bites of the
cherry for £50 tickets and full rules are available

| Black Country Spring Fayre |
| Looking forward to the show on 15th March at Walsall Fc
Banks stadium Suite an ideal venue for such a show, I have
been asked several times about wheelchair and disabled access
which is situated at both concourse areas so its easy access
to all. This year there is a fancy pigeon exhibition with
fanciers bringing along a variety of fancy flying and exhibition
pigeons. Also Trade Stands with cage birds, canaries, etc
The MFC breeder/buyer sale is taking place around lunchtime
before that we have a quiz and discussion panel with a panel
of top fanciers answering questions put to them. Ian Stafford
and Ron Bigwood have confirmed they will be there and waiting
we are awaiting confirmation of two more. So a good day is
hoped for and remember kids with an adult come in for FREE.
